Your child may be eligible for different funding schemes such as Medicare, NDIS, and private health insurance.
If you have a referral form from your GP or Specialist under a Medicare plan, you could receive a rebate for our services.
Our clinic is registered with Medicare and you may be able to claim rebates for assessment and therapy if your GP refers you under "GP Chronic Condition Management Plan", formerly known as "Chronic Disease Management Plan or Enhanced Primary Care Plan". It is possible for an eligible person/child to receive up to 5 rebates of $61.80 per calendar year. If you have reached a Medicare safety net, the rebate may be increased to a higher percentage depending on individual circumstances. Please contact your GP to discuss whether your child is eligible.
Some children may be eligible to access Occupational Therapy services through Medicare with a referral under Item 135, as part of the early intervention pathway for children with complex neurodevelopmental disorders or eligible disabilities (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder).
This funding is designed to support children under 25 who have significant functional difficulties in areas such as communication, behaviour, motor skills, cognition, or emotional regulation.
How it works:
We provide our services to clients who have Plan Managed or Self-managed NDIS plans with Capacity Building (Improved Daily Living) and Capacity Building Supports for Early Childhood (EC).
If you have a private health insurance, you may be able to claim a rebate for Occupational Therapy. Rebates can vary between different health funds and we advise you to check with your fund prior to making your appointment.
